Strangers at the Stables
Adelina recommends you read Strangers at the Stables.
Published by Usborne (2014) – a new edition of the exciting adventure stories set in SANDY LANE STABLES, perfect for pony lovers.
Sandy Lane Stables has to be closed down because Nick and his wife have to go to America; her father is ill. Rosie, a stable girl, is left in charge of the Sandy Lane Stables, all the regular riders promise to help, and everyone is confident that life at the stables will run smoothly. But disaster strikes when a mysterious couple arrives, supposedly sent to help, Rosie’s suspicions are just the beginning.
In my opinion this book had no funny parts, but a scary one, that Sandy Lane has to be closed down. This book was fun to read because of a lot of interesting words and you could picture it in your mind. It teaches you to actually take care of others and not only of ourselves.
Adelina (age 11)
This book can be purchased from http://www.kidzbooks.gr, Amazon and so many other sites!
It’s worth a read, especially if you are into horses!

Geronimo Stilton: Singing Sensation – Book review
‘Singing Sensation’ is book #39 in the Geronimo Stilton series, a best-selling children’s book series, published by Edizioni Piemme of Milan, Italy, since 2000. Scholastic Corporation has published the English version of the series since February 2004. The books are intended for readers in the 6–12-year-old age range.
Sold by Amazon, click on the image to be directed there. Read a book report written by Costas, age 11.
Plot: There are two problems. First, there is the problem when Champ heard Geronimo singing in the shower and put him in the concert, where he would be competing with the best singers in the world. The second is that he won, but the Pirate Express people who wanted to make copies hardly sold any CDs. Do Geronimo and his detective friend, Hercule Poirat, solve the mystery? You will have to read the book to find out how!
How the characters made me feel: Benjamin made me feel love, I loved him. Geronimo Stilton made me feel brave,I loved him, too. Trap made me feel nothing and I didn’t really like him. Thea made me feel nothing, but I liked her. Champ made me feel active and I liked that. Hercule Poirot made me feel nothing, but I liked him.
I loved the book. My favourite part was when he had a program because every hour he took a cold shower. There were no funny part. I learned never to give up. I recommend this book to all children from Year 1 to Year 6.
