Bathsheba wants to become a star in Hollywood, so she goes to Dramarama Club. Her best friend, Keisha, was supposed to go with her, but her grandmother unfortunately fell ill and she had to go and see her, leaving Bath to go all by herself. I won’t tell you any more, it’s a Dramarama secret! If you want to find out more read this amazing book.! It’s full of perseverance, relentless competition and there is a secret passage way…

This story made me feel happy, funny, sad, curious and excited.

Leila Rasheed has written three funny, diary-style books from the point of view of a girl called Bathsheba Clarice de Trop. Bathsheba (Bath for short) is as over the top and original as her name. Doughnuts, Dreams and Drama Queens is the third book in this series.

I recommend this book, especially if you are into secrets. I think it’s fun to read. My favourite part was the ending because her dreams come true. There were many funny bits.

I learned never to give up on yourself.

  • The Boy in The Dress – Children’s Recommendation

    5-star

The Boy In The Dress is a children’s book written by David Walliams, illustrated by Quentin Blake, who illustrated all of Roald Dahl’s books. It is the first book by Walliams, a television comedian best known for the show ‘Little Britain’. He writes in a ‘Dahlian’ flair and touches upon a controversial subject. A television film adaptation was produced for the BBC and a  film was released in 2014.

Dennis is a boy who enjoys football and fashion. He likes dressing like a girl and being different. It’s really like the book, it  is very funny. My favourite part was when everybody went to the football pitch, wearing dresses to play football. The whole book is hilarious.

I learned that you can be anything you want and not care if the others don’t like it.

Some of the main characters are: Dennis, Darvesh, Lisa, Denis’ father and John. I really like all the characters because they make me feel nice and happy.

I recommend it because it gives an important message and is a fun book to read
