The “Line of Symmetry” is the imaginary line where you could fold the image and have both halves match exactly.
If you can reflect (or flip) a figure over a line and the figure appears unchanged, then the figure has reflection symmetry or line symmetry.
The line that you reflect over is called the line of symmetry.
A line of symmetry divides a figure into two mirror-image halves. You can find if a shape has a Line of Symmetry by folding it or using a mirror. When the folded part sits perfectly on top (all edges matching), then the fold line is a Line of Symmetry.
